Okay here's the scoop. "Toad Suck" is a Lock and Dam, a small community and a park a few miles west of my home in Conway Arkansas. Conway has an annual festival every May called "Toad Suck Daze". If you can make it to downtown Conway you'll be standing in the center of Toad Suck Square. Legend has it that 100 or so years ago there was a Ferry at the current location of the park as well as a pub or two (interesting because current Conway is dry). When the river men who were working on the barges got stuck in Conway because the river was low, they would partake of the Devil's elixir and the locals would proclaim "them boys suck on them bottles 'til they swell up like toads" Hence Toad Suck. I've heard at least 100 other explanations but it's my website and I like that one so there it is........ I didn't want to be confused with anyone else so when it came time to get a name "Toad Suck Tones" came to life.....I didn't think there would be any conflicts......
